摘要: Abstract The majority of biogeographic studies in Antarctic terrestrial ecosystems have focused on macroscopic eukaryote taxa. In contrast, microbial taxa been almost neglected or examined without sufficient spatial coverage. Here, we the distribution soil bacterial communities and their relation to local environmental gradients ice-free regions maritime Antarctic. Soils this region were dominated by Actinobacteria Proteobacteria, which are typically found soils. Notably, candidate divisions AD3 WPS-2, rarely occur other biomes, high abundance acidic surface Soil pH total organic carbon (TOC) primary drivers community structure various geochemical variables also played important roles structuring composition. Bacterial significantly correlated measured variables, most spatially structured at scale (0.5–8 km). This suggests that heterogeneity factors is an driver shifts communities. Although sets related communities, a large proportion variation remained unexplained. indicates soils may be governed biotic abiotic not biome studies.
