摘要: Green fluorescent protein (GFP) from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria, its GFP variants (Aequorea GFPs), and more recently novel GFP-like proteins Anthozoa have greatly advanced our technologies for fluorescently labeling cells, organelles, proteins. It has been shown, however, that some a tendency to oligomerize aggregate. Transfection of into cultured mammalian cells results in bright punctate structures, which are thought be cytosolic aggregates. In this study, we demonstrate these structures not aggregates but lysosomes accumulated Our biochemical immunocytochemical experiments revealed certain expressed cytosol enter possibly by an autophagy-related mechanism, retain their fluorescence because resistance only acidity also lysosomal proteases.
