摘要: Abstract In the present study effect of caudal length on hydrodynamic performance flapping foil is investigated. According to reality swimming fishes, kinematics their oscillation tail involved with two rotational motions where one them causes move in circular direction and other leads pitch around its axis. With this concept, a generalized kinematic model considered. simulation motion trajectory foil, it shown that may affect performance. It at lower higher Strouhal numbers (St 0.6) optimum when infinitive. should be noted variation propulsive efficiency produced thrust are stopped these parameters kept constant values. Additionally, demonstrated there possibility improving moderate (0.2
