摘要: Increased penetration of renewable energy sources poses new challenges to the power grid. Grid integrated storage combined with fast-ramping conventional generation can help address associated output variability. This paper proposes a risk mitigating optimal flow (OPF) framework study dispatch and placement units in system wind generators that are supplemented by back-up generators. OPF charge/discharge dynamics is solved as finite-horizon control problem. Chance constraints used implement mitigation strategy. The model applied case studies based on IEEE 14 bus benchmark system. First, we scheduling spinning reserves when loads subject uncertainties. then extended investigate across different network topologies. results quantify need for well suggest strategy their placement.
