摘要: Beaver ponds are a ubiquitous, but rarely studied, aquatic habitat that subject to hypoxia and other catastrophic events can affect fish populations. We examined the population dynamics feeding ecology of pumpkinseeds (Lepomis gibbosus) inhabiting two isolated Ontario beaver adjacent Lake Opinicon determine persistence reasons for small body size in pond Pumpkinseed populations fluctuated drastically both as result winterkills (from decline water level).
