Emerging endoscopic techniques in oncology.

摘要: New techniques have expanded the role of endoscopy in diagnosis, staging, therapy, and palliation malignancies. Three major areas emerging technologies--endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), luminal stent technology, photodynamic therapy (PDT)--are discussed this article. Although EUS PDT been used for more than two decades, they only recently emerged as established integral methods armamentarium gastrointestinal endoscopist.
