New Eunicellin-Type Diterpenes from the Panamanian Octocoral Briareum Asbestinum.

摘要: Gorgonian octocorals are considered a prolific source of secondary metabolites with wide range biological activities, including anti-inflammatory activity. In particular, the genus Briareum is known for producing wealth diterpenes complex chemical structures. The study methanolic extract asbestinum collected in Bocas del Toro, on Caribbean side Panama, led to isolation three new eunicellin-type diterpenes: briarellin T (1), asbestinin 27 (2), 28 (3) and previously described 17 (4). structures compounds were determined by extensive NMR analyses HRMS. Anti-inflammatory activity assays showed significant reduction pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β IL-8 as well downregulation COX-2 expression LPS-stimulated THP-1 macrophages. These findings support potential use these marine therapeutic agents treatment inflammatory diseases.
