摘要: Locoregional recurrence is the primary failure pattern for biliary tract and gallbladder cancers. However, use of external beam radiation therapy in treatment these cancers, particularly cholangiocarcinoma, has had limited efficacy historically due to high risk toxicity with curative doses. While a range anatomic locations thus dose-limiting structures exist, proximity duodenum, stricture, radiation-induced liver disease (RILD) have posed special challenges achieving dose capable preventing local or cure. Over last decade, rapid development integration technologies such as advanced onboard imaging (OBI) integrated stereotactic body (SBRT) created renewed interest both adjuvant palliative setting In this chapter, we review relevant advances, growing experience SBRT intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC).
