摘要: Two experiments were conducted demonstrating that under certain conditions pigeons may peck at a higher rate on key produces intermittent reinforcement following delay than one always the same duration. In both experiments, concurrent chain schedules employed. Experiment I, single led to white light and of 15 sec, which terminated with food. A other its illumination by two colored lights period sec. The was followed either food presentation or timeout, lasting 3 control group, this not correlated timeout. Under stimuli, birds more often pecked leading reinforcement, whereas uncorrelated stimuli they 100% reinforcement. II, variable-interval employed in first link. results showed generally relative when timeout There some indication performance affected (1) duration delay, (2) percentage yielding (the light), (3) prior experimental conditions.
