摘要: While two-generation studies provide important insights into how social and economic advantages disadvantages are passed from one generation to the next, much less attention has been paid stratification over three or more generations. In a regression analysis of several thousand parents who graduated Wisconsin high schools in 1957, authors found that schooling, occupational status, income grandparents have few significant effects on educational attainment status their grand-children when parents' characteristics controlled. Even consider both maternal paternal account for errors variables, data not consistent with hypothesis grandparents' statuses incomes directly affect grandchildren's attainments
