摘要: This study examines the use frequency by German faculty of 10 different methods for preventing and detecting cheating on exams, plagiarism, falsification and/or fabrication data. It also investigates factors influencing their use. In total, 3655 members from 55 randomly chosen disciplines at 4 universities were contacted asked to participate in a web-based survey. Our results show that some applied (very) seldom (e.g. text-matching software), while others used more frequently employing sufficient number supervisors exams). Factors found promote increased many these include those methods' perceived efficacy as well external expectations they be used. When effort involved applying specific method is high, reduced. can help improve prevention detection academic dishonesty.
