The Rural Program Educational Retreat (RIPPER) uses interprofessional learning variety of educational strategies prepare final year nursing, medical pharmacy students for effective multidisciplinary delivery. RIPPER an pilot module designed expose undergraduate science number emergency acute situations. Using interactive high low fidelity simulation, work collaboratively teams attend to immediate management issue, develop algorithms consider strategies prevention aftercare context. The project was evaluated using mixed method design evaluate student outcomes perceptions practice the rural context. Over three years, provided (n=90) with opportunity learn about working a member team authentic relevant situational clinical and professional knowledge skill building. Results from program’s mixed methods evaluation indicated that model, exposure can positively affect their collaboration, care. The evaluation also points context ideal place showcase elements effective interprofessional care. A collaborative culture imperative promotion more satisfied health workforce optimal outcomes.
