摘要: The synthesis of polymer coated magnetic nanoparticles is reviewed. This class organic/inorganic materials has gained significant attention for potential applications in biomedicine, separations, and storage. We outline the various approaches that have been investigated to encapsulate discrete colloids with functional shells. An essential component this research preparation polymeric surfactants enable synthesis, passivation, functionalization nanoparticles. Various polymerization techniques, namely, living controlled polymerizations, such as, ring‐opening metathesis (ROMP) radical processes applied synthesize core‐shell possessing tunable film thickness, composition, properties.
