摘要: Abstract Accurate global cloud information is required for many climate studies, particularly validation of model simulations. This paper reviews the climatologies currently available, identifying and attempting to explain differences between various assessments. The two types observations used construct a climatology, conventional surface satellite-derived observations, are contrasted. Meridional profiles zonally-averaged total amount geographic distribution from 17 data sets compared.
