摘要: The application of self-assembled hosts as "molecular flasks" has precipitated a surge interest in the reactivity and properties molecules within well-defined confined spaces. facile modular synthesis enabled variety differing sizes, shapes, to be prepared. This Review briefly highlights various molecular flasks synthesized before focusing on their use functional containers--specifically for encapsulation guest either engender unusual reactions or unique chemical phenomena. Such cavities now constitute new phase chemistry, which cannot achieved conventional solid, liquid, gas phases.
