摘要: A method and apparatus are described for performing image analysis of a sample target area on MALDI plate to select laser impingement locations optimal mass spectra acquisition. The is captured analyzed determine the incidence distribution picture element values (representative luminance and/or chrominance information). dynamic threshold value may be determined by constructing virtual histogram then identifying at which local minimum occurs between modes bimodal distribution. applied elements locate regions within that possess desired visual characteristics, such as high indicative crystalline structure.
