摘要: A present invention discloses a method for performing forward error correction (FEC) in long-haul submarine transmission systems. Data is encoded at transmitter by serially concatenated, binary Bose-Ray-Chaudhuri-Hochquenghem (BCH) correcting codes. The encodes stream of data employing plurality codes, arranging said into frame parallel blocks (the outer frame) with redundancy bits appended BCH(3896, 3824) code; the then interleaved to produce serial intermediate frame); and final inner produced appending BCH(2040, 1952) code frame. data, once encoded, transmitted across datapath decoded receiver.
