摘要: Organogels formed from novel organic gelators containing a cholesterol tethered to squaraine dyes or trans-stilbene derivatives have been studied several different perspectives. The two types of molecules are active toward liquids, gelling in some cases at w/w percentages as low 0.1. While relatively robust, macroscopically “dry” gels cases, studies with variety probes indicate that much the solvent may exist domains essentially liquid-like terms their microenvironment. imaged by atomic force microscopy and conventional fluorescence microscopy, monitoring both gelator case stilbene−cholesterol and, solutes dissolved solvent. Remarkably, our findings show composed similarly appearing fibrous structures visible nano-, micro-, macroscale.
