摘要: A VLSI (very large scale integration) architecture for coincidence detection and selection used in the reconstruction of positron emission tomography images is described. Implementing this not only reduced size cost existing circuitry but also length requirements an expensive high-speed cable. The requires a number internal connections practical VLSI. silicon area needed making these was minimized by using nearest-neighbor communication within array modules. design complexity kept manageable replicating single module 56 times array. >
