摘要: Summary Endothelin (ET), a potent vasoconstrictor peptide, was originally isolated from culture medium of porcine aortic endothelial cells. Subsequently, ET also reported to be produced by non-vascular tissues, and involved in various biological phenomena these tissues. Recently, high concentration ET-1-like immunoreactivity (ET-1-LI) detected human amniotic fluid. Amnion tissue contained large amount ET-1-LI, cultured amnion cells secreted amounts ET-1-LI. The major component ET-1-LI samples ET-1. Moreover, the expression prepro-ET-1 mRNA both cells, indicating that ET-1 fluid originated In addition, specific receptors for were myometrium, decidua vera, chorion laeve placenta, ligand binding analysis Northern blot analysis. These findings suggest plays physiological role pregnancy. this paper, regulation production ET-receptors avascular are reviewed. possible importance pregnancy is discussed.
