摘要: There is some apprehension about the possible effect of introduced American mink Mustela vison upon indigenous British fauna, either as a predator exerting new and excessive pressure native prey species, or carnivore competing for resources against carnivores. Concern also felt by preservers game, keepers small domestic animals (poultry rabbits) mink's potential pest. To investigate food habits in England Wales alimentary canals 1165 trapped were examined, yielding 204 samples analysis. The resulting information provides general picture diet, including seasonal variations. Comparisons with similar work carried out other countries, diets Tentative conclusions reached regarding broad pattern relationships between animals, wild domestic.
