摘要: The calculation of ion-permanent dipole capture rate constants is a problem that has received considerable attention in recent years. This paper summarizes the present state theory; particularly, advances occuring since article Bowers and Su (1975) was published. Emphasis placed on recently developed transition theory approach which capable producing rigorous upper bound to true constant obtained from solution classical equations motion.
