摘要: Objective: To determine the influence of muscular fitness (MF) on cardiometabolic risk factors in young adult. Methods: A total 172 men (age 19.7±2.4 years; weight 65.5±10.7 kg; BMI 22.6±2.8 kg•m-1) were invited to participate study. They had no indication problems, as evaluated by clinical interview. MF was measured isometric handgrip (dynamometer). The strength divided body mass used further analysis. Lower and higher values are represented first fourth quartiles, respectively. lipid–metabolic cardiovascular index derived from levels triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), high-density (HDL-c), glucose. Adiposity assessed measuring, waist circumference (WC), adiposity (BAI), (BMI) fat (%). Results: After adjustment for age, WC, inverse association observed between mass, cholesterol, HDL-c, LDL-c (p<0.05) . In addition, subjects with low strength/kg (Q1), shower high HDL-c (p<0.05 linear). Lasted, a linear relationship also MF/kg lipid-metabolic (p<0.05). Conclusions: Colombian adult poorer associated worse metabolic index. Increasing muscle could be an appropriate strategy achieve favorable changes profile.
