摘要: The use of three-dimensional (3D) surface imaging is becoming more popular and accepted in the fields Medicine Dentistry. present study aims to develop a technique automatically localise quantify soft-tissue asymmetry adults using 3D facial scans. This may be applied as diagnostic tool monitor growth dynamic changes evaluate treatment outcomes. data were captured from 55 comprising 28 symmetrical faces 27 asymmetrical 3dMDface system. A landmark-independent method, which compared original mirrored data, was developed asymmetry. Weibull distribution-based probabilistic model generated root-mean-square (RMS) error for group designate level represented normal range. Statistically significant (p < 0.0001) differences RMS values found when comparing with groups similarly difference identified between lower upper face group. proposed imaging-based method identifying quantifying fast effective. comparison person’s respect large sample also used growth, compensations surgical
