摘要: Managing coastal development requires a set of tools to adequately detect ecosystem and sediments degradation. Benthic indicators are often used or assess disturbances, but while they may be very sensitive the impact itself, question is whether can as complementary tool for port managers improve environmental policy. The chapter focused on assessment influence Constanta Mangalia ports’ activities macrobenthic diversity population structure. Using ecological quality indices quantifying Good Environmental Status area situated in proximity ports, our main results revealed positive correlation between shifts occurred structure distance ports aquatorium. It showed also notably different temporal trends, indicating high sensitivity pressures.
