摘要: Server fault tolerance on local area computer networks is provided by novel workstation implemented software which detects failure of a primary file server and reroutes data storage activity routed via the server, to be an invention-provided secondary server. Shared management multiple servers or intelligent hosts supporting single common high availability system, for example RAID drive, enables host such highly, reliable data-storage system. Cross-mirroring in multi-host, along with write suppression, without significant redundant hardware costs point access paths.
