摘要: Abstract The seed coat of species from several centrospermous families was tested for the presence proanthocyanidins. Unripe seeds all investigated gave clearly positive results, while proanthocyanidins in ovules and ripe less obvious. In leaves specimens used as sources no were found. results are discussed light Bate-Smith's hypothesis that loss ability to produce condensed tannin is irreversible.
