摘要: Abstract The charge separation reactions (coulomb explosion) of the ferrocene, cobaltocene, and nickelocene dications, generated by electron impact ionization in gas phase, are reported. These sandwich dications display a common behaviour their unimolecular decomposition reactions, which characterized two distinct pathways. One corresponds to reaction [MC 10 H ] 2+ → 5 + C , other generation M (M Fe, Co, Ni). From translational energy releases, associated with processes, intercharge distances exploding transition structures have been calculated. results demonstrate that, irrespective nature metal ion M, interchange distance for formation /C is 5.0 A 6.2 .
