摘要: Abstract We describe a new model for the hydro unit commitment and loading (HUCL) problem that has been developed to be used as support tool day-ahead operation in Brazilian system. The objective is determine optimal generation schedules cascaded plants with multiple units head-dependent hydropower model. In this paper, we propose mathematical function where mechanical electrical losses turbine-generator are included. HUCL nonlinear mixed 0–1 programming solve it strategy includes two-phase approach based on dual decomposition. computational allows effectively schedule regulatory framework. Application of demonstrated by determining 24-time step four 4170 MW installed capacity.
