摘要: Through the process of habituation, continued exposure to low-frequency (0.01 Hz) rotation in dark produced suppression response vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) goldfish. The did not decay gradually, as might be expected from an error-driven learning process, but displayed several nonlinear and nonstationary features. They included asymmetrical suppression, magnitude-dependent for lower- higher-magnitude head rotations, abrupt-onset suppressions suggestive a switching mechanism. Microinjection lidocaine into vestibulocerebellum habituated goldfish resulted temporary dishabituation. This suggests that mediates presumably through Purkinje cell inhibition vestibular nuclei neurons. VOR data were simulated with feed-forward, neural network model which only neurons was varied. may switch introduce nonstationarities, cause asymmetry magnitude-dependency emerge essential nonlinearity
