摘要: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process by using two different heat input conditions was used to join Inconel™ 718. Welds were performed applying one and three welding beads with without post-weld treatment (PWHT). Mechanical characterization microhardness measurements tensile tests. It observed an improvement in mechanical behaviour for the welds beads, however, ductility tends decrease compared application of only bead. For PWHT yield strength increases approximately 157 MPa, but fracture energy decreased roughly 27% respect This aspect attributed precipitation brittle phases due weld thermal cycles during multi-pass process.
