摘要: This paper examines the trend and possible contributing factors for occurrence of food borne diseases outbreaks in Malaysia. These mainly are cholera, typhoid fever, hepatitis A, dysentery poisoning. The still occur sporadically certain high risk areas throughout country. incidence rate all other three major steadily declined from year 1988 to 1997 except poisoning cholera. Statistic 1996 showed that 66.5% outbreak occurred schools whereas only 0.4% originated contaminated sold at various public outlets. school age group is always more affected than general population. Amongst identified related unhygienic handling practices followed by inadequate safe water supply poor environmental sanitation. A multisectoral approach between Ministry Health government agencies or private agents needs be undertaken management order curb incidences
