摘要: References from a single scientific journal were analyzed to show how the persuasive communities created by references change over time. Articles that appeared in Philosophical Transactions of Royal Society London sampled journal's 325-year history publication, identify and characterize made them. The data highlight changes practice scholarly reference, provide quantitative measures evolution publication. Types publications, origin, language age materials cited, for period studied. These have changed, insights into character question.
