摘要: Background Due to degradation and metal dissolution during articulation of joint replacements the chemical periprosthetic environment may change. The aim was establish whether cause local changes in pH elevated concentrations. Methods measured on samples from 167 patients: native hip knee osteoarthritic joints, joints with revised for aseptic or septic reasons. synovial fluid tissue perioperatively using a microelectrode indicator papers removed components. Metal concentrations were 21 inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Results mean value at (n = 101) 7.78 ± 0.38. revision operation 58) 7.60 0.31, statistically significant difference (p 0.002) compared joints. 8) 7.55 0.25, 0.038) Measurements stems not reliable. In majority taken increased levels cobalt chromium measured. Conclusion A small but observed between natural degenerative diseases treated replacements. Based we expected be lower, influence ions is counteracted by buffering capacity human body. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Biomed Mater Res Part B: Appl Biomater, 105B: 2507-2515, 2017.
