摘要: 1. Samples of normal skin from four patients, post-burn hypertrophic scar five patients and mature six were analysed for hydroxyproline, water uronic acid extracted with guanidinium chloride to yield the proteoglycan pool. A large chondroitin sulphate biglycan purified one biopsy decorin a biopsy, by ion-exchange chromatography, gel-filtration hydrophobic interaction chromatography. These proteoglycans used in an inhibition ELISA assay estimate quantities each tissue samples. 2. had on average 30% less 12% more 2.4 times as much skin. differences all statistically significant, whereas small between scars not. The content was only 25% that about 6-fold higher. slightly elevated levels reduced compared but these not significant. 3. results suggest aberrant metabolism is significant factor contributing altered physical properties maturation dependent return relative proportions concentrations those characteristic dermis.
