摘要: Background: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a common disease affecting Indian patients. Endoscopic carpal tunnel release new technique of treatment for this disease. To study aims to compare the advantages and disadvantages endoscopic open release. Materials methods: Open was performed in 40 patients 35 who had clinical signs symptoms consistent with syndrome. They  not responded or refused non operative management  Nerve conduction studies Syndrome. Follow-up evaluations were at one week , 3 weeks 6 months. During follow up period both showed similar results. The syndrome relieved 39 (98 per cent) hands group compared 34 (97 group.The post op pain graded from 0 10. Patients grades below 5 averaged 79 cent open-release 89 that Results: Thirty-two (80 20 (57 endoscopic-release tender 1 week. 25 10 weeks. while group. hand thickened scars no scar months group. The method also resulted longer interval until patient could return work (twenty days vs ten groups). Conclusion: This shows two portal better option will become more popular when surgeons well trained doing technique.
