摘要: OBJECTIVES The ovarian tumor microenvironment, ie, the peritoneal fluid, is an intriguing research subject. goal of this study was to assess behavior selected cytokines and growth factors within fluid in pathologies associated with ascites relationship between levels these substances select prognostic cancer. METHODS A total 74 patients were enrolled study, including 36 cancer 38 benign gynecological conditions. Peritoneal collected during surgical procedures used interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, stem cell factor (SCF), dickkopf-1, differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15), necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL), osteoprotegerin (OPG), osteopontin, osteonectin, human epididymis protein 4. median compared two groups, assessed group regard clinical stage cancer, differentiation, presence spread positive cytology results. diagnostic value analyzed proteins also assessed. RESULTS Differences observed conditions IL-6, GDF-15, SCF, OPG. There no differences TRAIL, 4 groups. Cancer affected only mean SCF OPG levels, lower values higher advanced cancers less-advanced cancers. Tumor significantly poorly differentiated tumors. significant reduction a increase IL-6 cell-positive fluid. patients. CONCLUSION On basis conducted studies, it appears that studied factors, deserve special attention context future on microenvironment. With diagnostics, should be given primarily osteonectin.
