QoSMOS: cross-layer QoS architecture for wireless multimedia sensor networks

摘要: Wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs), having inherent features and limited resources, require new quality of service (QoS) protocols for real-time applications. In this paper, we present a cross-layer QoS architecture (QoSMOS), that unifies network link layers into single communication module provisioning. Based on QoSMOS architecture, developed an example reference protocol, named protocol (XLCP), enabling scalable differentiation in WMSNs. Comprehensive analysis simulation results indicate the proposed successfully differentiates classes terms soft delay, reliability throughput domains. A comparative XLCP its counterparts is also given to show superiority protocol.
