摘要: Abstract A UK inventory of the nitrous oxide (N 2 O) emissions from farmed livestock was compiled to identify areas where potential abatement practices may be effective. Where possible, emission factors based on direct experimental data gathered under conditions were used, but published used when this not feasible, together with statistical information, which included details numbers animals within each category a species, animal liveweights, number days housed, excretal rates and volumes manures in stores. Total N O calculated for component production systems, i.e. houses, manure stores, following application land during grazing. Emissions also estimated forage conservation tillage. annual livestock, mainly 1996 census data, 38.27 kt. The two main terms 22.66 kt mineral fertilisers after soils 5.61 kt stored (mainly form farmyard manure).
