摘要: Diabetes is common and seen in one five patients with schizophrenia. It more prevalent than the general population contributes to increased morbidity shortened lifespan this population. However, screening treatment for diabetes other metabolic conditions remain poor these patients. Multiple factors including genetic risk, neurobiologic mechanisms, psychotropic medications, environmental contribute prevalence of diabetes.
