摘要: Patients with chronic pain frequently report that changes in the weather influence their pain. This study investigated differences perceived of on among 558 patients living 4 cities (San Diego, California; Nashville, Tennessee; Worcester, Massachusetts; and Boston, Massachusetts) United States. Local climatologic data for each city were obtained from National Climatic Data Center. All completed a questionnaire, information they provided was compared demographic variables. The majority all believed affected Pain who younger had arthritis reported most sensitivity to weather. Weather unrelated other variables geographic region. Cold damp conditions considered most. However, effect not found be related regional climate. Thus, belief is worsened by colder climate supported. An equilibrium theory discussed.
