摘要: Approximately 20% of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) cases present in the pediatric or adolescent age group. Genetics and specific serum immune markers may identify children with more aggressive Crohn’s disease. Both upper lower endoscopies biopsies should be performed patients suspected having IBD. Earlier appropriate use thiopurines, subsequently biologics, considered sick enough to require corticosteroids. Growth failure defective bone mass accrual are risks for this population that multifactorial nature must correctly identified, quantitated, treated, when possible. Adherence prescribed medication regimens is low population, especially among dysfunctional families poor coping strategies.
