摘要: Meat processing effluents are rich in nutrients (nitrogen: 75-200 mg L −1 and phosphorus: 20-40 ) COD (800-2,000 after primary treatment. A laboratory scale sequencing batch reactor (SBR) was operated for the treatment of a beef effluent from slaughtering boning operations. An effective SBR cycle found removal COD, nitrogen phosphorus at 22°C. The solid retention time 15 days while hydraulic (HRT) 2.5 days. total wastewater reduced to less than 10 , decreased 1.0 . residual soluble be non-biodegradable as reflected by no further following prolonged aeration. Removal biodegradable ammonia phosphate greater 99% achieved SBR. Good prediction nitrate obtained using IWA Activated Sludge Model. operating is shown appropriate achieve simultaneous meat wastewater. Alkalinity pH have an inverse relationship during initial anaerobic aerobic stages due production stripping CO 2 Use low level DO final stage ensured complete enhanced denitrification.
