摘要: Abstract Multi-proxy analyses were conducted on a sediment core from Favre Lake, high elevation cirque lake in the northern Ruby Mountains, Nevada, and provide ca. 7600 year record of local regional environmental change. Data indicate that levels lower to 5750 cal yr BP, when climate was warmer and/or drier than today. Effective moisture increased after 5750 cal yr BP remained relatively wet, possibly cooler, until 3750 cal yr BP. Results generally dry conditions but also climatic variability 3750 1750 cal yr BP, which effective increased. The timing major changes Lake proxy data are roughly coeval phase with those recorded several paleoclimate studies across Great Basin, suggesting controls similar responses at low altitudes.
