摘要: Immunohistochemical detection of Cyclooxygenase (Cox)-1 and -2 enzymes in canine mammary tumours (CMT) has recently been described. However, the prognostic value their expression needs to be established. The aim this study was investigate Cox (-1 -2) malignant CMT by evaluating its correlation with clinicopathological parameters (tumour size, histological type, necrosis, lymph node metastasis) Disease Free Survival (DFS) Overall (OS). Twenty seven female dogs were included. Cox-2 associated metastasis at surgery time, development distant during follow-up (p = 0.038), DFS 0.03) OS 0.04). Multivariate survival analysis showed that did not retain significance as an independent factor. For Cox-1 expression, no statistically significant association observed. Present suggests usefulness testing specific inhibitors part adjuvant therapy neoplasias.
