摘要: In this issue of the Journal Neurological Sciences Dr. Charles Poser offers a personal memoir (Poser 1992) based on his pondering multiple sclerosis (MS) problem over past 40 years. makes several points with which most students MS would agree wholeheartedly. Others views are controversial and deserve, in Editor's estimation, presentation an alternative viewpoint so that reader may make or her own judgement..This Editorial has been written at request to present another perspective. begins selective review epidemiologic genetic literature concludes, not surprisingly, factors more important than environmental ones determining whether will develop not. As known for some time certain HLA alleles over-represented the, population. argues within system, just as there predispose MS, others which, since they under-represente d population, exert protective influence.
