摘要: Abstract This paper presents about conceptual designs of Advanced Recycling Reactor (ARR) focusing on enhancement in transuranics (TRU) burning and americium (Am) transmutation. The design has been conducted the context Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP) seeking to close nuclear fuel cycle ways that reduce proliferation risks, waste US further improve global energy security. study strives enhance TRU Am transmutation, assuming development related technologies this study, while ARR based mature was designed previous study. It followed provided core is burn at 28 kg/TWthh, by adding moderator pins B4C (Enriched B-11) transmutation will be able transmute 34 kg/TWthh, locating blanket AmN around core. indicates these concepts 40–50% than can effectively, keeping void reactivity acceptable.
