摘要: Incidence angle dependence of three statistical parameters-the mean the backscattering coefficient (/spl sigma//spl deg/), standard deviation, and autocorrelation texture sigma//sub T/ /spl rho//sub T/)-of C-band horizontal-horizontal (HH) polarization signatures Baltic Sea ice are investigated using RADARSAT ScanSAR Narrow images helicopter-borne Helsinki University Technology Scatterometer (HUTSCAT) data. The analysis large amount data shows that relationship between deg/ in decibel scale incidence range from 19/spl to 46/spl is usually well described by a linear model. In general, HUTSCAT results agree with each other, they also supported theoretical model calculations; more deformed ice, smaller slope angle, higher moisture content snow or larger slope. derived dependencies can be used roughly compensate variation SAR help their visual automated classification. variability increasing insignificant compared within type. Their average changes so small that, practice, trends do not need compensated. this study utilized when developing classification algorithms for ENVISAT HH-polarization Wide Swath ice.
