摘要: The appearance of hybrid PET/CT scanners has made quantitative whole body scanning radioactive tracers feasible. This paper deals with the novel concepts for assessing global organ function and disease activity based on combined functional (PET) structural (CT or MR) imaging techniques, their advantages over current techniques potential clinical applications in management various diseases. First complicated kinetic modeling methods calculation standardized uptake value (SUV) that have been utilized practice PET are briefly described. Subsequently we discuss PET-CT developed recent years: (a) SUV analysis dual-time point delayed imaging, (b) partial volume correction small lesions (c) assessment metabolic diseased sites (d) image segmentation FDG-PET newer to precisely define intended normal tissue which is great guided radiation therapy.
