摘要: The effect of a smooth rigid stratum, located beneath dense sand layer, on the bearing capacity and settlement surface shallow strip footings is investigated using an advanced experimental model. A theoretical analysis presented for footings. results indicate that reaches minimum value at specific sand-layer thickness. Any increase in layer thickness above this causes up to corresponding continuous media.
